Mites
The Mites program is an introduction to minor hockey with primary focus on learning to skate in hockey equipment and with a stick in hand. This program is designed for those players ages 3 and 4. The goal of the program is to get players comfortable on the ice in hopes that players will graduate into the minor hockey (OHF/Hockey Canada) at age 5
Mites is run in 2 - 10 week sessions.
Session 1 Start date is after Thanksgiving
Session 2 starts after the New Year
This program is allocated 1 one hour ice per week for 10 weeks (actual ice time 50 mins)
We max registration at 30 players and almost always have a waitlist.
There are NO games or tournaments and uniforms/socks are not provided
Cost $150 per session (until July 15th/24) After July 15th -registration is $200 per session.
U7
U7 is the introduction into the Hockey Canada pathways.
U7 Programming is delivered through a progressive learn-to-play teaching curriculum that spans the five to six-year-old age group
U7 is assigned 2 ice times a week
Teams size range from 10-12 players, typically no more and with 4-5 certified coaches and trainers assisting the team
Uniforms/Socks are provided
U7 will start near the end of September after the completion of Rep team tryouts .
This group will start to play games in the New Year and have opportunities to attend tournaments
Programming is mandated by Hockey Canada....and involves skating and hockey skills. In this programming your player sees more ice and more time with a puck
