Provincial Announcement Jan 3, 2022
Posted Jan 3, 2022
I am sure everyone is aware that the province announced today a step back in the COVID related reopening plans. As a result we are now aware that minor hockey will take a pause effective Wednesday for at least 21 days.
In conjunction with the municipality, we have decided to cancel practices for this week and to use that ice time later in the season when we are able to get back on the ice.
We are very hopeful that the season will recommence and we will be back on the ice soon. Similar to last season we won’t make any decisions about the remainder of the season until we know more.
I know this isn’t the news that everyone wanted to hear today, but as an organization we know that we don’t have any choice, so we will adjust and make the best possible plan to return to the ice when possible!
Keep practicing your hockey skills at home and ensure that all our players are getting in some individual fitness so that all our Hornets are ready to go for the remainder of the season!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out anytime.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Barton-Crowley
NDMS President
