NEWS from Fundraising Chair - April Faux

We have planned a fun and exciting  year of fundraising for 2017/2018. Here's a sneak peek at a couple of the fundraisers coming up:


Comedy Hypnotist - Robert Maxwell (Friday November 24th)

We have confirmed Robert Maxwell a comedy hypnotist. He will be presenting an amazing fundraiser show. The show will take place at the Norwood Town Hall on Friday November 24th at 8:00PM. Tickets will be sold for $25.00 each and any profit made will go directly back to Norwood Minor Sports. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday evening with friends, have a few drinks and enjoy many great laughs.

 

Robert Maxwell has been in Norwood twice already and completed a couple successful fundraisers’including the most recent  for Norwood Hospice.  Their turnout was great and I am really hopeful that we will sell this fundraiser out and fill the town hall, all while raising money for a great cause. The tickets will be sold at couple different locations within Norwood. We would also appreciate word of mouth and encourage others to attend the show.

 

February Calendar Raffle - Win a Prize a Day! More than 1 chance to win!

 

As many of you know last year's fundraising raffle for a Honda Side by Side was a huge success. This year we have decided to take a little different approach. We have reached out to many of Norwood’s local businesses and asked for donations.  In return their business will be recognized on our February calendar ticket raffle lottery.

 

How the raffle works:  Each day in February a ticket will be drawn for an item, gift baskets, services and cash prizes. Tickets will sell for $10.00 each and you will be able to win more than once, as each winner will have their name put back into the draw.

 

Each child registered for Norwood Minor Hockey  will be provided with 5 tickets. These tickets are $10.00/ticket for a total of $50.00. The cost of 5 tickets has already been incorporated into your registration fee. This means you will have 2 options:  Sell the 5 tickets and keep the $50 or keep the tickets and put your name on them for 5 chances to win each day. The choice is yours! Tickets will be dispersed  sometime in September once teams are confirmed. Families who have more than 2 children registered will only have to sell 10 tickets. You will have until January 1st , 2018 to sell your tickets.
